Injecting a bit of fun and colour into Autumn Winter accessories
Look, I do love summer – long, lazy days, sunshine (when we’re lucky), all that – but if I’m honest, my heart belongs to autumn. The leaves changing, the colours deepening, that familiar back-to-school buzz that hits in September like clockwork. It’s embedded in my senses, from years of crisp new school notebooks and scratchy jumpers. Plus, autumn is a little bit magical, isn’t it? Especially when you add in Bonfire Night and Halloween to spice up those early dark
evenings.
Style-wise, I am, admittedly, a summer wardrobe devotee. (Though since moving to Scotland, my summer wardrobe seems to spend most of its life in the cupboard!) But I must admit, there’s something about autumn/winter that draws me back: knits and coats, two of my favourite things! And if there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that a great coat and a well-made jumper should last years.
So, when I’m adding something new to my wardrobe come autumn, it’s usually an accessory – a little treat that doesn’t break the bank, adds a burst of colour, and turns up the cosy factor. Here’s my Sunday Shares of some Autumn/ Winter accessories I love and own, or am seriously considering for my own wardrobe, they’d make excellent gifts for Christmas or yourself! Almost all the options are from small businesses so hopefully you’ll discover a new business you love along the way:
